Step
1.
Dig
a lengthwise hole approximately 10-12 inches long by
6-8 inches wide and approx.12 inches in depth.

Step
2.
Insert
mailbox stand upright in the ground and pack the soil
firmly around the base.
Never
stand or hammer on the mailbox stand!

Step
3.
Insert
stand upright pushing spade end firmly into the hole
and pack soil in around base.
|
|
Step
4.
Apply
water to help compact soil. Pack more soil firmly around
base and level to ground.
Before
proceeding make sure stand is upright, level and secure
in ground before attaching adapter and mailbox.

Step
5.
Affix
our HDPE (high density polyethylene) adapter plate onto
top of stand. Use Standard mounting plate
for regular mailboxes and Large, for Keystone
or other oversized mailboxes. (Large mounting plate
shown here).

Step
6.
Use
the two 1 ½x ¼ inch stainless steel screws
provided to affix the adapter through the two middle
slots onto the metal stand. You can use small neoprene
washers between the adapter and the screw holes on top
of stand, if desired.

Step
7.
Tighten
screws with screwdriver.
|

Step
8.
Now
you are ready to attach your mailbox to the stand!
If
you have a Keystone mailbox, the center cutout in the
adapter fits in place and the holes on the large adapter
match up with the holes on the base plate of the mailbox.

Step
9.
Insert
the 3/8 or 5/16 stainless steel bolt (provided) from
above and through the holes inside the mailbox floor.
Attach
the nuts to these four bolts through the holes from
below the adapter, and tighten in place with the appropriate
tool.

Step
10.
Important
final inspection; Check the overall stability of the
mailbox and stand and make sure that both are firmly
attached to each other and into ground!

11.
Voile!
The beauty of your new mailbox stand is now ready
to enjoy and will last for years!
