1. Take some care in selecting your location.
Your FLYRITE holder can be mounted either vertically or horizontally
using the three stainless steel screws included in your kit.
Avoid locations where the flag can get caught in the
rain gutter of the house or is too close to trees, etc.
2. If your kit has the two-piece aluminum pole,
the piece with the swedged (tapered) end is the LOWER HALF.
Twist the upper and the lower halves together firmly. Use
the plastic winter cap provided as a dust cover on the holder
when the pin for the aluminum pole or the one piece fiberglass
pole is removed from the holder.
3. Place
the nylon
collars on the pole as shown.
4.
IMPORTANT: Remove the pin or cap from the holder
and add a few drops of light oil or LPS to the bearings
inside, then replace it in the holder. Periodic lubrication
is mandatory.
Always leave the winter cap on the holder to prevent dirt
and water from working their way into the bearings when
flag pole is not inserted in the holder.
5. You
are now ready
to slide the pole onto the holder and see why we call it "FLYRITE
-- THE TANGLE-FREE FLAG HOLDER." The pole with
the flag attached will spin with the wind. NOTE: in very light
breezes, the flag may occasionally wrap itself part way on
the pole. It's best not to pull on it to straighten it out
as this might bend or distort the pole and interfere with
its free movement. Just leave it alone and you'll see that
the flag will unwrap itself with the next little breeze and
fly freely.
